Big Amounts of Googling
In reading a certain Wikipedia article today, I stumbled upon the following phrase (my emphasis):
...optimized to deal with big amounts of data...This struck me as deeply odd. So I did some googling to compare adjectives that mean something like 'big'. To place all the numbers in one table would be very misleading, so I put them in separate tables. It's interesting that while many of the common, basic adjectives vary greatly, but 'large' holds strong throughout. Blogger is totally messing with my table layout and style, so I'm hosting them elsewhere. Anyone know how to put them here cleanly?

If you have blogger set to automatically insert the "br" tag at every new line (so that paragraphs are maintained), that can mess with table formatting a bit. Try putting it all in one long line!
Thanks! Is there a way to turn of the auto 'br'? I thought I had looked at all the settings. But newlines were only part of the problem. More importantly, the rows' background colors were not showing up.
Nevermind, I found the newline setting, but supposedly it applies to all comments as well, so I'll just have to live with it, I think.
